Wine Country Road Trip

Early Mountain Vineyard was added to our wish list when I saw an article in a national newspaper indicating their award winning wines. They are part of the wine producing renaissance in Virginia. So, Gretchen, Jenny and I headed up to Madison, Virginia this weekend to check out the winery.  We had to make a  reservation for a “tasting!” 

The winery is in a beautiful area and their Tasting Room Experience was voted best in the nation a few years ago!  We agree with that decision! Early Mountain is the first vineyard we have been to that has tasting flights highlighting wine from other Virginia wineries chosen by their winemaker.

The good news is we will be returning to Early Mountain since we have all joined their wine club! The membership includes quarterly “pick up” parties with free wine and food.  We all agree we can do that! September 12th is on our calendars!
