Henry is going to spend this week of his summer vacation with us, so we met David in Danville this afternoon to pick him up.
Monday
Today we went to SML to visit the Benders. Of course Henry did some fishing from the dock and we spent the night at their house.
Tuesday
Henry, Grandpa and Uncle Jeff went to the SML Dam Visitors Center, toured the museum and walked up the hill so Henry could see the “other” side of the dam.
Next we went to Smith Mountain Dock for lunch and to give Henry the opportunity to have carp suck peanut butter from his fingers and toes!
Wednesday
Our main activity today was to visit the Putt Putt Center for a round or two of miniature golf.
Thursday
Dick, Grandpa and Henry went for a bike ride on Blackwater Creek. It was a very hot day! Henry rode 6 miles with us enough to work up an appetite...
which he sated when Grandma took him to Cinn City!
Friday
Grandma and Grandpa need to be in Hillsborough this weekend to watch Henry and Audrey while Katie works. So, after lunch we drove to N.C. to pick Audrey up at school. Luckily, Henry was with us and was able to get Audrey off of the Camp Chestnut bus before it left!
It was so great to have you in Lynchburg for the week Henry. Sorry I did not get this blog written before Grandma and I left on our trip to Canada. Love you lots!
