We had an early 70th birthday celebration for Jenny today! First, we went to hear the Garth Newel Piano Quartet at Randolph College. We’re glad they’ve been coming to Lynchburg to play. It is easier than driving to Hot Springs, but we do try to get to their home venue each summer!
This evening we cooked a special dinner. We all worked diligently (while sipping wine) to prepare the food! We had Amarone Risotto over sautéed butter nut squash and filet minion with a red wine sauce. It was delicious!
And for dessert, Gretchen made an apple crumb pie!
We had so much fun celebrating your birthday with you Jenny; so here’s hoping there will be many more celebrations to come!
