We’re excited, going to DPAC tonight to see the Broadway play Escape to Margaritaville! First we went with Katie and Nick to Pour in downtown Durham. There’s a wall with over 60 taps of beer and wine. You get an electronic button that activates the tap and allows you to pour a few ounces to taste…and keeps a running tab for you. It is a unique place that I’m sure we will visit again! Next we went to Boricua Soul, a Puerto Rican/Soul Food Fusion restaurant in the American Tobacco District. The food was wonderful! This restaurant started as a food truck before securing a permanent location.
We had a few minutes before the show so we went to a rooftop to view Durham at night!
Then it was time to Waste Away Again in Margaritaville. The show was absolutely fantastic. It was amazing how they built the show using the familiar Jimmy Buffet songs, even adapting the lyrics to to tell the story. Everything, the acting, singing, choreography, and the band was awesome!
Katie, Mom and I love these evenings with you at DPAC!❤️💜🧡💚💛💙 So much better than Christmas and birthday presents! So Nick, are you going to listen to Jimmy Buffet on you daily drives to and from Durham?
