Checked out another Charlottesville Bike Club ride today. As always, the map and cue sheet on their website was perfect. The James River Valley Ride (44 miles) started in Scottsville and was a great ride. A bit hilly but mostly long grades and a lot of places to roll! The last 20 miles were slightly uphill so it was a workout as the day got hotter. I cut it short by two miles when I got to Route 20 after 36 miles and the cue sheet said to to left (away from Scottsville) only to turn right in a half of mile and follow a parallel road north back to Route 20. I couldn't bring myself to do it! I turned right and rode into Scottsville on Route 20!
